Throughout my counseling program, I have actively engaged in research and scholarly activities focused on childhood disorders, family dynamics, and the impact of generational trauma. I have critically reviewed literature on developmental and psychological challenges faced by children, including effective assessment and intervention strategies for conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, and behavioral issues. Additionally, I have explored the role of family systems and how family dynamics influence individual mental health, emphasizing the importance of systemic approaches in therapy. My research has also delved into the effects of generational trauma and its implications for diagnosis and treatment, enhancing my understanding of how history and family patterns shape present-day mental health issues. These scholarly activities have strengthened my ability to apply evidence-based practices, foster critical thinking about complex issues, and develop holistic, culturally sensitive interventions. Engaging in this specialized area has supported my growth as a reflective, informed counselor committed to addressing the interconnected nature of childhood development, family relationships, and trauma.
