Professional Identity

"Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever." — Mahatma Gandhi

I demonstrate my commitment to ongoing mentorship and supervision by practicing sound judgment and ethical behavior, always applying the ACA Code of Ethics when I encounter ethical dilemmas. I engage in continual reflective practices to assess and improve my counseling skills and approach. I also responsibly disclose confidential information about individuals only when there is a compelling professional purpose or when legally required, which shows my strong sense of ethical responsibility. I actively seek out professional feedback and learning opportunities to grow my skills and understanding, and I am willing to modify my therapeutic approaches based on supervisor feedback to ensure continuous development.

Regarding my engagement in continuing education on current trends and professional practices, I attend various professional learning opportunities such as workshops, seminars, and conferences to stay updated with the latest developments in the field. I maintain active membership in the American Counseling Association, which helps me stay connected with current research, practices, and standards. Additionally, I understand and uphold the procedures, policies, laws, and regulations relevant to my practice, ensuring that I remain compliant with current standards and best practices in counseling.
