Acceptance

“Acceptance of oneself is the essence of the spiritual journey.” — Carl Rogers

I believe that acceptance is fundamental to truly connecting with others and fostering a supportive environment. I strive to approach every situation with an open heart and mind, understanding that everyone has their own perspective and journey. By attending supervision and seeking consultation regularly, I show my genuine willingness to learn and grow, knowing that I don’t have all the answers. I deeply respect the

decision-making processes of others, honoring their autonomy and trusting in their capacity to make

the best choices for themselves. I recognize the importance of gathering meaningful, clinically

relevant data because I care about providing the best possible care and understanding each person’s

unique story. When I need clarification, I ask with humility, because I value growth and clarity.

Most importantly, I am committed to understanding my role and limitations, knowing that respecting

boundaries is essential for building trust and meaningful relationships. For me, acceptance is about showing kindness, patience, and respect in all my interactions, and I believe that this attitude helps create a

space where healing and genuine connection can flourish. I truly believe that embracing

acceptance fosters empathy and compassion, which are essential for creating an environment

where clients feel safe, valued, and understood.
